Registration details for the Richmond and Maryland Summer Harp Institutes. Application deadline
Registration for Week 1 is through Summer Quest American Youth Harp Ensemble Camp. Please visit the Collegiate website for deadlines. web site Weeks 2 & 3 and MSHI registration applications must be postmarked by May 1, 2010; registration after this date is by space availability only. Registration includes a completed registration form and a non-refundable deposit of $100 to reserve your space. Harpists applying for Week 3 must include an audition tape or CD. Students who do not reside in the Richmond area will be placed with a host family, usually a local harp family. Arrangements will be made by the Academy of Music to match each boarding student with accommodations. For families wishing to travel with their child, information on local hotels can be provided.
For MSHI, students who do not reside in the Frederick area will be placed with a host church family. All other information still applies. Cost
- MSHI Week, Introductory Rates - Non-boarding, half-day students: $200; boarding, full-day students: $450. Spaces are limited! Checks payable to the HARPS Foundation.

- Week 2 - Full Institute: $550 for week, Boarding students $700; checks payable to Academy of Music.
- Week 2 - Half-day students: $275 for week, Boarding students $425; checks payable to Academy of Music.
- Week 3 - Full Institute: $550 for week, Boarding students $700; checks payable to Academy of Music.
- Students wishing to register for BOTH Weeks 2 and 3 - Full Institute $1,000; Boarding students $1,300 (includes weekend of 8/7 & 8/8)

Harps
Lever and pedal harps will be provided on a first-come; first-served basis. Age
All applicants must be between the ages of 7 and 18 as of 1/1/2010 Other deadlines
Once accepted, unless notification of withdrawal from the Institute is received in writing by 6/1/2010, the student and parent/guardian are considered legally responsible for payment of fees in full. All fees must be paid in full by 7/1/2010. |
