  • The American Youth Harp Ensemble/Academy of Music invites applications for a Harp Faculty position. This appointment is at a rank and salary commensurate with experience beginning in the 2010-2011 academic year. The individual appointed will assume responsibility for the instruction of beginning to advanced harp students, the rehearsing of ensembles for local and national performances and international touring, the arts administration duties which support these artistic endeavors, and participating in the activities of the AYHE/ A of M as scheduled. Qualifications include professional performance and teaching experience, a proven ability to be a team player and to provide inspiration and professional guidance to students. The ability to teach additional instruments or classes (i.e. theory or music history) a plus.
  • Interested persons should submit a letter of interest, resume and two letters of recommendation to Lynnelle Ediger, Artistic Director, American Youth Harp Ensemble, 4200 Dover Road, Richmond, VA 23221. All credentials should be sent by July 19, 2010. Applications received after that date will be considered until the position is filled.

Proceeds go to HARPS Foundation in order to support programming and outreach efforts. Auction items range from exotic vacation getaways to donated items guaranteed to delight and surprise. At our live event, all of our core ensembles - Troubadour, Lyra, Concert, and Touring - will be performing during the silent auction. The event will be catered by the Richmond Country Club!
