Carnegie Hall has been the premier classical music performace space in the United States since its opening in 1891, presenting the world's greatest soloists, conductors and ensembles. With a premier Carnegie Hall performace in 2001, the invitation to return to the great stage for a second performace was an extraordinary testament to the skill-level of the ensemble, while providing a potenially transformative opportunity for these young people through appearing at the world-class venue during a tour of the Mid-East Coast.
The tour included an invitation to perform at the United Nations on June 21, 2007; at the First United Methodist Church in Moorestown, New Jersey on June 20, 2007; and at the Jack B. Kussmaul Theatre at the Frederick Community College in Frederick, Maryland on June 19, 2007.
