The Arts at Green Spring Presents: The Maryland Summer Harp Institute Concert Series

The Arts at Green Spring Concert Series, in collaboration with the Maryland Summer Harp Institute, is pleased to announce the Maryland Summer Harp Concert Series with performances for the public in the Frederick, Maryland area in July. This extraordinary series presents harp soloists, chamber groups, and a large ensemble concert. In lieu of tickets, free-will offerings will be collected at each event to benefit the American Youth Harp Ensemble Scholarship Fund. All concerts will be held at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church located at 10621 Old Frederick Rd., Thurmont, MD 21788.

"The Art of Harp" Student Solo Concert

From classical to folk to jazz, this concert will showcase the versatility of the harp and the talents of the young musicians taking part in the Maryland Summer Harp Institute.

Grand Finale of the Maryland Summer Harp Institute

Friday, July 17, 4pm

Under the direction of Frederick native Lynnelle Ediger-Kordzaia, harpists of the Maryland Summer Harp Institute present a Grand Finale concert of “works-in-progress”, performing works studied throughout the week.

Alice Giles Interview

Alice Giles Interview

It was such an amazing experience having Australian virtuoso harpist Alice Giles here in Richmond last week at AYHE! She was the featured artist to kick of the 2014-2015 Music from Grace concert series whos proceeds benefit Sound Experiences, an out-reach program that provides tuition free music lessons to children in Richmond. While she was here Ms. Giles was also able to give some of her time to teach two master classes to the AYHE students as well as stop by WCVE studios to talk a little bit about her trip to Richmond!
