The Arts at Green Spring Concert Series

Concerts on July 12th, 13th and 15th

The Maryland Summer Harp Institute, in collaboration with the HARPS Foundation, is pleased to announce the Arts at Green Spring Summer Concert Series with free performances for the public in Frederick, Maryland. This extraordinary series of three concerts features soloists, small ensembles and a grand finale with over 20 harps performing! The Maryland Summer Harp Institute, now in its 7th year in Frederick County, gathers young harpists from across the nation for an intensive week of harp study.

In lieu of tickets, free-will offerings will be collected at each concert to benefit the American Youth Harp Ensemble Scholarship Fund.

CONCERT: "Rising Stars!" Tuesday, July 12th, 7pm- Grammy-considered harpists from the American Youth Harp Ensemble will perform repertoire from their SOLD-OUT June 2016 Carnegie Hall Concert and Tour. Their artistry will inspire!

CONCERT: "The Art of the Harp" Wednesday, July 13th, 7pm- The talented young harpist students from the Maryland Summer Harp Institute present "The Art of the Harp." From classical to folk to jazz, this concert will showcase the versatility of the harp as a solo instrument.

CONCERT: "Grand Finale" Friday, July 15th, 4:00pm- Under the direction of Frederick native Lynnelle Ediger-Kordzaia, the young harpists of the Maryland Summer Harp Institute will present a harp ensemble concert of over 20 harps performing works studied throughout the week.
